I Hope You Never Need This
I hope you never need this but it is really good advice so I suggest you keep a copy handy. It’s from an email that’s been going around online for several years. Each time I see it, I appreciate it so I wanted to share it here. There is no source to give credit to.
The following is taken directly from the email:
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT “PASS ALONG” ATTORNEY’S ADVICE – NO CHARGE
(Number 7 is the best)
Not A Joke! Even If you dislike attorneys… You’ll love these tips.
Read this and make a copy for your files in case you need to refer to it someday. Maybe we should all take some of his advice! A corporate attorney sent the following out to the employees in his company:
1. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put ‘PHOTO ID REQUIRED.’
2. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the ‘For’ line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won’t have access to it.
3. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you don’t have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks. (DUH!) You can add it if it is necessary. But, if you have It printed, anyone can get it.
4. Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine. Do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel. Keep the photocopy in a safe place.
I also carry a photocopy of my passport when I travel either here or abroad. We’ve all heard horror stories about fraud that’s committed on us in stealing a Name, address, Social Security number, credit cards. In case your luggage is lost, take another list in your carry on bag, especially if you are abroad and need immediate access to those numbers.
Unfortunately, I, an attorney, have first hand knowledge because my wallet was stolen last month. Within a week, the thieves ordered an expensive monthly cell phone package, applied for a VISA credit card, had a credit line approved to buy a Gateway computer, received a PIN number from DMV to change my driving record information online, and more.
But here’s some critical information to limit the damage in case this happens
to you or someone you know:
5. We have been told we should cancel our credit cards immediately. But the key is having the toll free numbers and your card numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them.
6. File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where your credit cards, etc. were stolen. This proves to credit providers you were diligent, and this is a first step toward an investigation (if there ever is one).
But here’s what is perhaps most important of all: (I never even thought to do this)
7. Call the 3 national credit reporting organizations immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and also call the Social Security fraud line number. I had never heard of doing that until advised by a bank that called to tell me an application for credit was made over the Internet in my name.
The alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen, and they have to contact you by phone to authorize new credit.
By the time I was advised to do this, almost two weeks after the theft, all the damage had been done. There are records of all the credit checks initiated by the thieves’ purchases, none of which I knew about before placing the alert. Since then, no additional damage has been done, and the thieves threw my wallet away this weekend (someone turned it in). It seems to have stopped them dead in their tracks..
Now, here are the numbers you always need to contact about your wallet, if it has been stolen:
1.) Equifax: 1-800-525-6285 1-800-525-6285
2.) Experian (formerly TRW): 1-888-397-3742 1-888-397-3742
3.) Trans Union : 1-800-680 7289 1-800-680 7289
4.) Social Security Administration (fraud line): 1-800-269-0271
1-800-269-0271
We pass along jokes on the Internet; we pass along just about everything. If you are willing to pass this information along, it could really help someone you care about.

Let Your Inner Self Drive You, Not The World’s Craziness
I love how Dr. Pedram Shojai expressed what I feel and believe in, and he did it beautifully!
Thrive
I think the video below is a must see for anyone shaking their head and wondering why things are as they are in the world.
I had to put some of it “on the shelf” until I’m ready to think about it, and maybe that day won’t even come, but I can’t ignore the fact that something’s not right. There are so many discoveries I hear about and yet we don’t find them making headline news and being put into place. And the scientists discovering them often have very sad tales to tell about what was done to their lives.
I have ignored the rumors and talk of conspiracies for years and was determined to focus on creating a better world by becoming a better person. But Foster and Kimberly Gamble have put some very compelling information together that tells quite a story that we can’t ignore. We all know that things aren’t right with the world but it seems too big and overwhelming to tackle. The Gambles have changed all of that. Best of all, they come from a place of Love, unlike many others that have caused me to ignore them because I refuse to just add more anger to the problem.
Foster and Kimberly Gamble have worked hard to find solutions and they have. What they have put together is incredible and gives great reason for hope. Ignoring it is the worst thing we can do at this point. I ask you to watch this video with an open mind and heart and a willingness to do some pretty simple things to help turn things around. We can create a better world if we all do just a little to make it happen.
See if any of this strikes a chord, ignore the rest and take action in the area that is near and dear to your heart.
Keeping Things Inside Is Like Drinking Poison
Keeping things inside is like drinking poison and we all do it over one thing or another. I never thought of it as being in “the closet” but I found this video to be unexpectedly full of insight. It caught my eye and something told me I needed to watch it. WOW! Am I glad I did.
I generally stay away from topics where there is a lot of negativity and wondered why I felt so drawn to listen. Then I discovered why. Although I’m not a lesbian, being in my own closet over my spiritual beliefs has been very hard and I could really relate to Ash Beckham’s words. We all have things eating away at us and this really hit home.
I highly recommend taking time to listen to what she has to say. Her message isn’t really about her. It’s about all of us.

3 Success Coaching tips that could change your life if you pay more attention to them.
The Power of Intention Trumps the Power of Congress’s Corruption
I put the video below on my site to remind me why I need to get up every day and do something, anything, that makes the world a better place. It was sobering to watch this 60 Minutes segment with Steve Kroft. Melanie Sloan, Executive Director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, made a lasting impression. I don’t want her job.
It feels a little hopeless at times when you realize how much corruption and selfishness there is with people who are elected to serve the people. But not when you keep in mind that we have access to a power that is above and beyond the physical atoms that make up physical matter. I believe we are surrounded by an “intelligent universe” that responds to intentions. Science indicates that and my own experiences have given me all the proof I need.
We need to look inward and create intentions and stay focused on where we intend to go. Congress men and women have no clue what real power is. If ethical, spiritual people put their minds and hearts into creating change, it will happen. The real test is to not get pulled into the anger, fear and doubt that perpetuates the problem.
Watch the video and determine to be part of the solution, not the problem. Take a deep breath, think of something/someone you love and are grateful for, feel as much Love and gratitude in your heart as possible and then imagine the future as you would like it to be. End with mental thoughts and words of gratitude.
This practice can help change the future!
There’s Still Time to Change Things You Will Regret
Here is a great reminder to think about your life and change things you will regret that need to change in order to have peace of mind. My NDE gave me a sense of urgency to create desired changes before it is too late, like it almost was for me years ago. My suggestion and message is always that you do all you can to change sources of discontent that you still allow to be a part of your existence. The day will come when you will regret it if you don’t take action now. Just imagine looking at your life and knowing all chance to change is gone. It can be sobering!
