Have you ever really thought to yourself, “What Is Love?” Apparently, Piglet wanted to know how to spell it but old Winnie saw it only one way. “You don’t spell it…you feel it.” It got me thinking about how misconstrued Love is by most people.
Love is such a powerful and healing emotion that can be used to literally heal the physical body. The feeling of Love sends a flood of life affirming chemicals throughout a person’s body and the emotion counteracts stress and all of the damaging hormones released in response to stress.
Stress isn’t a bad thing in itself. It’s just that our bodies weren’t designed to have constant stress. We are meant to be fortified temporarily when stress starts a chain reaction. The process shuts down non-vital functions so that all attention can be given to running from or fighting off danger.
Unfortunately, our thoughts, not actual events, cause alarms to ring inside all day long. And they don’t turn themselves off when the danger passes. Mostly because there is no real danger. It is all imagined or remembered. It isn’t happening at the time.
For quite some time now, I’ve been giving a lot of attention to my heart. I’ve been focused on fully experiencing the feeling of Love in my heart. It has become a very strong sensation and I can feel its intensity. Once I get the feeling, then I create an intention for a specific purpose that I have in mind. Next I direct the energy and feeling into situations and send it out to people for healing and protection.
I have seen tangible results that can’t be denied so once again, I am learning how powerfully we were all designed.
I have come to believe that we are all intended to get control over our emotions so we can experience heart-felt emotions at will and use them to help ourselves and our loved ones.
I wish we were taught these things in school. I find them to be so much more valuable than algebra! We weren’t so that is why I coach others in the process. Many people are awakening to a new way of living and being that is empowering.
